The best idea for your business is often already working in someone else's industry.
I've worked across hospitality, live music, real estate, camps, trades and retail. What fills a restaurant on a slow night, or sells out a show by email, works for a lot more businesses than you'd think. I bring those ideas with me.
I grew up with the internet. I've ridden every wave since.
Building computers and my first websites, as a kid.
Running them in their first full year, long before most marketers caught on.
Marketing professionally, and running Google Ads for clients.
Incorporated, and built entirely on referrals.
Leading marketing for a Long Island hospitality group.
The biggest wave yet. I run on it.
Old enough to have watched every shift happen. Young enough to be all-in on this one. That's the unfair advantage: 15+ years of judgment about what works, plus the tools to do it better than ever.
I don't just use AI. I run on it.
AI is wired into everything I do, from research and builds to tracking and reporting. You get senior judgment, delivered with a speed and depth a small shop couldn't touch a few years ago.
My own AI operating system
A command center that tracks every project, runs routines on a schedule and keeps nothing from slipping. It's how one person runs this much, this well.
AI lead and data analysis
AI reads every lead as it lands: who they are, whether they're a real fit, and a plain-English summary of what they need, researched and vetted before you pick up the phone. The same approach turns your other business data into clear answers.
"Owner of a local service business, wants a new website and help getting more calls from Google."
- Business verified
- Website and reviews checked
- Clear need, good fit
Ask your business anything
Your sales, leads, ads and customers in one place. Ask a question in plain English and get a straight answer, without digging through spreadsheets or waiting on a report.
Ad reports that write themselves
Google and Meta data pulled automatically and written up for you in plain English: what worked, what didn't, what changes next.
Finally know what your ads return
Most businesses never get a straight answer on ROI. I track every lead, call and sale back to the ad, email or post that drove it, so you see the real return on every dollar, not just clicks.
Follow-up that runs itself
Welcome, reminder and win-back emails and texts that go out on their own, so no customer slips through the cracks.
More gets done, sooner, without cutting corners.
You see what's actually driving results, not just clicks.
AI does the heavy lifting. Fifteen years of instinct decides what ships.
For the right fit, I'll build it before you pay.
Every so often I take on a website on spec, the way a lawyer might take the right case: I build the new site first, and you only pay if you love it. It isn't for every project. Bigger sites and businesses that need real strategy and scope get a proper plan first. Tell me about your business and I'll tell you honestly whether it's a fit.
Ask if you qualifyReal businesses. Real work.

I'm Phil Smith. I've been building on the internet since I was a kid, and doing marketing professionally for 15+ years. By day I lead marketing for Upstream Hospitality Group, a 25+ location Long Island restaurant group, which is why Flip keeps a small client list. Every client works with me, start to finish.
No juniors, no account managers, no hand-offs.
You know what you get and what it costs before we start.
A handful of clients at a time, so each gets real attention.
Good questions, straight answers.
How long does a new website take?
It depends on the project. A focused site, a handful of pages with your content ready, can go live in a few weeks. Larger sites, custom features or moving an existing site take longer, sometimes a few months. Either way, you get a written timeline before we start.
What does it cost?
Most projects get a fixed price, agreed in writing before we start, so there are no surprise invoices. Ongoing work and smaller changes are billed by the hour or through a monthly plan, and you'll always know the rate up front.
Who will I actually work with?
Me, start to finish. No juniors, no account managers, no hand-offs. That's why I keep a small client list.
Do I own my website?
Yes. New sites are set up in your name: your domain, your hosting account, your analytics and your content. I run it all for you, and if we ever part ways, you keep everything.
Do you only work with Long Island businesses?
No. I'm based on Long Island, and I work with clients across the country. Everything runs over email and video calls, so distance doesn't get in the way.
Is the work done by AI?
Parts of it, by design. AI writes a lot of the code now, and that's a good thing. I've been coding, building sites and wiring systems together by hand since the dial-up days, so I know what good work looks like and I can tell when something's off. Handing the tedious parts to AI frees me to do what I'm best at: understanding your business, finding the growth, making the judgment calls and running the project. Everything that goes live is directed and reviewed by someone who knows how it's built, not just how to ask for it.
What's included in a care plan?
Hosting, monitoring, updates, backups and small fixes, handled every month, with a short monthly snapshot of how your site is doing.
What's the build-first offer?
For the right fit, I'll build your new website before you pay, and you only pay if you love it. It starts with a conversation, and bigger projects get a proper plan first. See how it works
Let's talk.
Tell me a little about your business and what you need, and I'll get back to you personally.
